Trent Hickman

Trent Hickman has been infatuated with the water all his life. From his early days growing up on the Provo River, visiting family in Malibu, to living in Costa Rica teaching surfing and guiding boat trips with Witches Rock Surf Camp. Trent Hickman founded Park City SUP in 2009 very shortly after his first time experiencing the connection to water, health benefits and fun the SUP provides.

Trent is an International Sports Science Association certified personal trainer and a Work Paddle Association class II certified Standup Paddleboard instructor. It's from this background that Park City SUP's classes, lessons, events and tours are formed.

Trent has participated in SUP racing events since 2010 and has competed in Hawaii, Mexico, Utah and California. Most of all he loves sharing the connection to health, fun and water that comes with SUP.

Penny O'Brien, MS

Penny has been teaching a mindful path to health and well-being for more than 25 years. She currently directs a Wellness Team for GBS Benefits, a healthcare brokerage firm, where she and her team consult with close to 100 employer groups, reaching upwards of 10,000 people, helping them find joy in movement, health and well-being.

Penny earned her Master of Exercise & Sport Science from the University of Utah and currently teaching a graduate course and the "U" in Mind Body Interventions and Complementary and Alternative Medicines.

Penny finds peace and lightness exploring the trails around Park City and rooting deeply into her mat. She is thrilled to welcome you to Park City SUP Yoga!

Josh Smith

Josh grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, the mecca of all things outdoors, and has always had a passion for both outdoor recreation and physical fitness - he even started snow skiing at the age of two. When he was a teenager, snowboarding started getting more popular and it quickly became his new passion. Josh moved to St. George, UT in 2000 and there he found his love for yoga. He attended regular yoga classes for years, but it wasn't until he went on a yoga-inspired vacation in Vancouver, BC that he made the decision to become a yoga instuctor.

He chose to study under the love and guidance of Denise Druce at the University of Utah because of her fitness background, focus on anatomy and dedication to making yoga available to everyone. After acquiring the 200-hour teaching certificate with Denise, Josh completed an additional Yoga for Athletics certificate. In October 2014, he received he SUP Yoga Teacher certificate under the leadership and the amazing and inspiring Amelia Traves (aka Stoked Yogi) in San Diego.

When he's not practicing yoga or paddleboarding (or combining the two), he can be found mountain biking, fishing, hiking, running, rock climbing and spending time outdoors with his wife and their two dogs.

Tiffany Harrison

Originally from Texas, Tiffany graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Modern Dance.

Amazed by what the mountains had to offer, between skiing, rock climbing and mountain biking, she decided to stay. During her dance studies at the University she was introduced to yoga and has been practicing/teaching ever since.

Certified yoga and paddle board instructor, Tiffany enjoys teaching others the benefits of yoga on and off the water. Tiffany has had the opportunity to model for Title IX and has an obsession with triathlons.

Logan Pretorius

"I was raised in Park City, Utah with a family passionate for the outdoors. I grew up frequently skiing, hiking and paddle boarding.

I first discovered yoga as a teenager, and it was a practice I instinctively brought to my paddle board.

I completed my first 100 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training at Salt Lake Power Yoga in June 2017. In addition to discovering new capacities in my body, the training lifted me to find empowerment and growth in my spirit. It was here that I fell in love with teaching.

I am drawn to SUP yoga for many reasons. Bringing my practice onto the water is refreshing, clarifying, and humbling. SUP yoga teaches me to soften where I need ease, and activate where I need fire. It’s beautiful how the steady ripples beneath my board help me find a deeper flow in both my mind and body.

I currently teach SUP yoga each Monday at 10 AM. I invite you to join me in practice, have fun, and discover something new!"

Dani Martin

Dani is passionate about looking deeper within. She has a huge heart for helping other beings on this earth and hopes that her classes can motivate people to better the world around them. Dani is studying Anusara Yoga and alignment of the body to ensure her students are safe in their practice and that they leave her class feeling better than when they arrived. It brings her great joy to be able to share her gift with others. Outside of class, you can usually find Dani and her dog on a beautiful outdoor adventure or hula hooping.
